What is BB Glow ?

BB Glow is the latest and fastest growing treatment in Europe, Asia and Australia and is now finally making its appearance in New Zealand. This treatment is a 100% natural semi-permanent BB cream like finish for your skin,that will help even out imperfections and discolorations leaving your skin looking like you are wearing the highest quality light-weight face makeup. How many sessions do I need ?

BB Glow can deliver results from just one treatment especially for a one off event or a weekend away. However for long term results lasting up to 4 months we recommend building up coverage over a course of 3 – 4 treatments each 7 – 10 days apart.

Is there any downtime?

You can go back to day to day life immediately after a treatment. However the BB Glow tint serums should stay on the skin for 24 hours and can look a bit shiny. Your skin may appear a bit dry or flaky after a few days. This is the natural inflammatory response of your skin to the needling as it rejuvenates.

Does it hurt?

During the BB Glow facial there are two needles used – one is a micro needle the other is a nano. In general it is a comfortable treatment but there may be slight discomfort on more sensitive parts of the face when using the micro needle. The nano needle delivers little to no discomfort during the tint application. Your therapist can adjust the needle if you are uncomfortable.

Is it safe ?

BB Glow is 100% safe, utilising natural ingredients and all the BB Glow semi-permanent foundation serums are free of parabens, fragrances, alcohol, and allergens. The product only goes into the top layer of your skin, never deeper. There are some BB Glow treatments done overseas that go deeper which can be unsafe – we don’t do that at Lab.

How long does it take?

The Dermaglow facial is 1.5 hours and includes cleansing, dermaplaning, needling of bespoke serum, nano needling of BB Glow tint then a soothing face mask under LED Light. BB glow facial is a little bit shorter it is 1 hour 10 mins, as it includes cleansing,exfoliating, needling of bespoke serum,nano needling of BB glow tint, then a soothing aloe vera mask is applied.

How much is it?

Can you Dermaplane before BB Glow?

We highly recommend the Dermaglow or Dermaboost Facial for your first treatment as this includes dermaplaning.This helps to increase product penetration and your skin will feel and look amazing.
